81-MM Mortar & Crew (Zvezda)

The standard-issue heavy mortar for the German army in WWII was the 8 cm Granatwerfer 34, an 81mm smoothbore mortar renowned for its accuracy and high rate of fire. This weapon was designed to disassemble into three parts, facilitating transport by a four-man crew along with its ammunition. It was engineered to fire both high explosive and smoke shells, with a maximum range of approximately 2400 meters. The soldiers in this kit are equipped for winter combat, wearing heavy wool coats and boots, typical attire for units fighting around Moscow in the harsh winter of 1941. This kit comprises one plastic model Soviet mortar from WWII, complete with four soldier crewmen in winter gear, a unit flag, and a unit card for use with the Art of Tactic WWII game. The assembled soldiers are 24mm scale, and the kit includes 25 pieces. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and may require assembly.
